Copies of marriage applications from 1975 through 1976 are now available. An index of these applications is online.
The library has a section of published family histories available for inhouse use.
A partial list of the current reference holdings (for inhouse reference use only) is available.
The library maintains family files on many Shelby County surnames. These files contain any combination of materials such as family trees, pictures, family group sheets, biographies published in different counties and states, compilations of marriage records, obituaries and newspaper clippings. Family files are also available at the Decatur County Library.
