Last  Will  and  Testament
of
Henry  Briggeman


            I  Henry Briggeman,  of Liberty Township, Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament and I hereby revoke all wills by me heretofore made.
            Item 1.     I direct that all my just debts and expense of settling my estate be fully paid out of such cash and money on hand belonging to my estate.
            Item 2.     It is my will that as soon after my death as may be practicable all cash and money which may remain after the payment provided in Item 1 above shall be equally divided among my children, except that my two daughters,  Louise  and  Anna, shall each be paid $50.00 more than to any of my other children, and if I should not leave sufficient cash to pay the said $50.00 to each of my said daughters, then said bequests to said daughters shall be paid out of my real estate mentioned in Item 4 below.
            Item 3.     To my wife,  Magdalena Briggeman,  I give all the personal property of which I may die the owner, except the cash mentioned above, and I devise to her for the term of her natural life, and for that term only, all the real estate of which I may die the owner, she to have the full use and benefit of the same during her life and if necessary for her care, nursing, attention and to provide for her comfort and welfare she shall have the right to sell such portion of such real estate as may be necessary, she to take the same in lieu of her widow’s statutory rights in my property.
            Item 4.     After the death of my said wife, then I devise all the real estate of which I may die the owner to my children in equal proportions, share and share alike and should any child be then dead leaving children such children shall inherit the share of the deceased father or mother.
            Item 5.     I direct and request that my son  George F. Briggeman,  shall be executor of this my last will and the he will in all things carry out the terms hereof.

            The foregoing instrument, signed sealed and acknowledged by the said Henry Briggeman, as and for his last will and testament, in our presence, who, at this request, in his presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto on this 3rd day of July 1915.
