Smullen
The Kokomo TribuneTipton---- Mrs. Erma Smullen, 81, 237 Green St., died at 4 p.m. Saturday in Tipton County Hospital, following an illness of two years. Born in Lewisville, July 28, 1892, she was the daughter of Willard C. and Eva Francher Pierson. On Feb. 1, 1912, she married John Smullen, who survives. She has lived in Tipton for the past 30 years and was a saleslady for the Empire Lamp Co. and the Ardult Lamp Co., both of Chicago. She was a member of the West Street Christian Church and the Business and Professional Women of Tipton. She had graduated from the Spiceland Academy in Spiceland. Surviving are a son, Dr. Willard C. Smullen of Decatur, Ill.; one sister Mrs. W. D. Inlow of Shelbyville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Leatherman-Morris Funeral Home, here, with Rev. James Orr officiating. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
