Was the Wife of Rev. Pell at Fairland,
Early Friday Morning.
----------
Mrs. Maria S. Pell,  wife of the  Rev. J. P. Pell,  was found dead about four o'clock Friday morning at her home in Fairland.
She had been real sick for several days and some of the neighbors called at her home last night and remained with her until twelve o'clock.  They then went to bed and her husband intended sitting up the remainder of the night, but he, to[sic], shortly went to sleep.  When he awoke, he found his wife laying by the door, dead, it being supposed that she left her bed to open the door to let in the fresh air.  Her death had occurred only an or two before she was found.
Deceased was aged 79 years.  Her husband and two sons,  J. W.,  of Louisville, Kentucky, and  Nathan M.,  of Shawnee, O T.*, surviver her.  Funeral services will be from the M. E. church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, August 10, by Rev. E. M. Chambers.  Interment will be in the Fairland cemetery in charge of Edwards & Hageman.
* I believe this is Ontario, Canada. - PMF Contributed by Phyllis Miller Fleming
