          Ira Palmes  died at his home on Circle street this morning at 3:20 o'clock of congestion of the brain, aged 29 years.  Deceased was a veteran in the Spanish-American war.  He leaves a widow and two children.  Funeral arrangements, which are in charge of M. G. Tindall, will be announced later.
