Funeral  For  Former  Local
Woman  To  Be  Here  Sunday

          Mrs. Rose Israel,  78, former local resident, died suddenly Thursday evening at the home of a daughter,  Mrs. Kathryn Netcott  of Bloomington, with whom she had resided for the past seven years.  Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
          MRS.  ISRAEL  was the widow of the late  William A. Israel  who died in 1932 and they had operated several grocery stores in Shelbyville for several years.
          Born in Shelby county on March 12, 1874, Mrs. Israel was the daughter of  Peter and  Caroline (Kingsfield) Sentz.  She was married in March of 1899 to Mr. Israel.
          SURVIVING  WITH  the daughter are a granddaughter,  Mrs. Merle E. Bruce  of Fairfield, Cal.; two sisters,  Mrs. Celia Copp  and  Mrs. Emma Lewis,  both of Indianapolis; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
          Mrs. Israel was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the First Methodist Church in this city.
          Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Murphy Mortuary with Rev. S. J. Cross officiating.  Burial will be in Temple Hill Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the mortuary after 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
