  STRUCK  BY  LIGHTNING
  ----------
  LARGE  BARN  ON  THE
  POHLMAN  FARM  IS
  DAMAGED.
  -----
The large barn on the farm owned by  John
and  Henry Pohlman, just east of the St. Vincent's Catholic church, was
struck by lightning last night about ten o'clock, but the damage only amounted
to a few dollars.
A large hole was torn in the roof and part of
the siding was damaged.  The heavy down pour of rain prevented the
structure from igniting.
The property was insured in the Farmers' Insurance company of Shelby and Johnson
counties and the loss is being adjusted this afternoon.
