A little personal history from the contributor: Larry Eck is the son of Floyd Russell Eck, of Waldron, and Alice Frances Rardin Eck, of Morristown. My paternal uncles are Millard Eck and Clyde Eck. My paternal grandparents are Russell and Tressie Sanders Eck of Shelbyville. My maternal grandparents are E. F. (Pat) and Sarah Rardin, of Morristown. Pat was the long-time station-master of the B & O station in Morristown (I understand it was moved and restored after his death). Ellen Louise Ritter was my mother's good friend in Rushville and Beth Ritter is her daughter. Karen Callahan is the daughter of Harry Callahan, the local barber and a neighbor of "Pat" and Sarah Rardin, who lived across the street from the Kopper Kettle. |
