DIES  IN  HOSPITAL

Retired Baker, 80

          Jacob A. Zeller,  80, well known retired Shelbyville baker whose home was at 201 W. Hendricks St., died today at 6:45 a.m. at the Major Hospital.  Mr. Zeller had been ill several years and death was attributed to complications.
          Mr. Zeller, born in Bluffton, Ohio, May 23, 1881, was a son of  M. E. and  Nancy Zeller.  He moved to this city in 1905, when he joined in partnership with  C. H. Webben  in the former  Webben and Zeller Bakery.  The partnership continued until 1925, from which time Mr. Zeller owned and operated the bakery by himself until his retirement in 1939.
          Mr. Zeller was a 55-year member of the West Street Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Shelbyville Rotary Club.  He served as president of the Indiana Bakers' Association in 1927.
          Survivors include his wife, the former  Maude Watts,  whom he married October 21, 1906, two sons,  Harold W. Zeller  of this city and  Arthur W. Zeller  of Columbus, and one sister,  Miss Lillian Zeller  of Fort Wayne.  There are three grandchildren.
          Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ewing Mortuary, Rev. Jerome Hyde will officiate.  Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.  Friends may call at the mortuary after 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
