CHILD  DIES  AFTER  ATTACK  BY  DOGS

Little Teresa Sigman  died early today of injuries she received yesterday.  She was attacked by 5 dogs while playing with her siblings at home.
D/o  Keith and Mary Aletha (Eberhart) Sigman, 7 miles west of Shelbyville.  Died at Riley hospital in Indianapolis.
Her mother, Mary Sigman, rushed her to Major Hospital after the attack.  Remained in critical condition here during the night;  moved to the Indianapolis today.  Severe lacerations of the head and back.  5 German Shepherd dogs, which the Sigmans raised, got out of their kennel and attacked her.  Mrs. Emerson Coy,  was standing by a window across the road and witnessed the attack.  The dogs broke out of the kennel and attacked the child.
The child was born here Sept. 9, 1962.
Surviving:  parents, 1 brother  Timmy  and 2 sisters  Tammy and Trudy Sigman;  grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Eberhart  and  Mr. and  Mrs. M. S. Sigman, Columbus; and the great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cherry  and  Mrs. Vivian Eberhart, and  Mrs. Lillie Hawk, Tecumsch, Okla.
Ewing Mortuary, Rev. James Horner will officiate.  Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery.
