          Robert I. "Bubba" Sherley,  75, Shelbyville, a Redkey native, died Monday at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.l  Born Dec. 19, 1929, in Redkey, to  Oscar and Jane Sherley,  he graduated from Redkey High School and attended Ball State University.l  He marriedl  Lee Mayo  on June 26, 1972.  A U.S. Navy veteran, he was an iron worker for 40 years at United Ironworker's Local No. 22 of Indianapolis.  Memberships include Trinity United Methodist Church, Elks Club and American Legion Post No. 70, all of Shelbyville.
          Survivors include his wife Leo [sic--Lee]; two daughters,  Anita Yukes,  Indianapolis, and  Robin Waits,  Martinsville; two stepdaughters,  Denise Miner, South Carolina, and  Deborah Moore,  Pennsylvania; a brother,  Larry Sherley,  Dunkirk; a sister,  Beverley Hatsell,  Redkey; six grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.
          Services are Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelbyville with the Rev. Corlis Dees officiating.  Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.  Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Glenn F. George and Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville.  Memorials may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.

          Susie M. Shirley,  71, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage House Convalescent Center, where she was a resident.  Born on Oct. 16, 1918, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of  Leander and  Nancy (Price) McGrew.  In 1936, she married  Thurston Shirley,  who died in September 1988.  She lived in Indianapolis for about 40 years and worked at RCA for many years, retiring in 1975.  She was a member of 10th Street United Methodist Church, Indianapolis.
          Survivors are a son,  Gary Shirley,  Diamond Bar, Calif.; a daughter,  Mrs. Jerry (Janice) Smith,  Otterbein, Ind.; four grandchildren; four sisters,  Mrs. Tom (Doris) Winterroad  [sic--Winterrowd], Indianapolis,  Mrs. Floyd (Mary) McMichael,  Shelbyville,  Evelyn Baxter,  Shelbyville, and  Mrs. Norman (Louise) Mullen,  Fairland; and two brothers,  Ed McGrew  and  John McGrew,  both of Shelbyville.  Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
          Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home, 819 S. Harrison St., with the Rev. Donald Bradley officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

          Thurston M. Shirley,  77, Indianapolis, died Wednesday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis.  Born in Indianapolis on June 10, 1911, he was the son of George and Grace (Bowers) Shirley.  For 19 years, he was a supervisor for Crown Paper Box Co., retiring in 1973.
          Survivors are his wife,  Susie (McGrew) Shirley,  a former Shelbyville resident, a son,  Gary E. Shirley,  Diamond Bar, Calif.; a daughter,  Janis G. Smith,  Otterbein; a sister,  Frances Nichols,  Hudson, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
          Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, Indianapolis.  Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Norristown.  Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Invalid  For  Years.
----------
          Monday morning occurred the death of  Martin Shirley  at his home north east of Hope.  He was sixty years of age and had been an invalid for a number of years.  He was a brother of  Rand Shirley,  who keeps a hotel at Hope.  Funeral Wednesday at 10 o'clock at Pleasant Grove.
