LINTON — Lois M. Shidler, age 67, of Linton, passed away at 12:07 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born April 16, 1945, in Linton, the daughter of Isaac and Anna (Swaggerty) Oliver. She was a 1963 graduate of Linton Stockton High School and was a homemaker.Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana

Survivors include her husband, Larry Shidler, of Linton; two daughters, Leah Bauer of Beech Grove and Lana (Kerry) Heath of Linton; a son, Leif Shidler of Linton; a brother, Tom Oliver of Brazil; a sister, Loretta Johnson of Shelburn; nine grandchildren, Toni Bauer, Julie Brough, Kaine Bauer, Nicole Shidler, Samantha Shidler, Eric Nagy, Anna, Kasie, and Thaniel Heath; and one great-grandson, Caiden Brough. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Iris Higar, Iona York, and Christina York, and a brother, Paul Oliver.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, Gary West officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
