Alma I. Rigdon, 96, Shelbyville, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, Waldron.
Born Nov 9, 1905, in Shelby County, d/o  John R.  and  Nora (Callahan) Haehl.
Married  James Rigdon  on Feb. 25, 1945, and he survives.  Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Phylis) Spegal  of Morristown; four grandchildren, Wanda Wyatt  of Morristown, Norma Ward  of Shirley, Jane Clifton  of Fortville and  Dale Spegal  of Indianapolis; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by three brothers,  Wilbur Haehl,  Floyd Haehl  and  Morris Haehl, and two sisters, Frances Hicks  and  Dorothy Theobald.
Homemaker; previously employed at the former Kennedy Carliner for a few years.
Member of First Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship and the former Thompson Community Club.  Member of Zion United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the women’s guild.
Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway St., with the Rev. Doug Theobald.   Burial Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
