Dorothy P. Platt, 77, died Sunday, Greensburg.
Born June 22, 1917, Rays Crossing, d/o  Maurice and  Elizabeth Haehl Talbert.
Married  Russell W. Platt on August 21, 1937; he died January 6, 1987.
Member Star Baptist Church, Decatur County, Loyal Neighbors Extension Club and Decatur County Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Elmer Platt Dies
In Indianapolis Hospital

          Following the birth of a baby daughter at the local hospital on New Years Day,  Mrs. Cora M. Platt,  wife of  Elmer Platt  of near Moscow in Rush county, died at the Coleman hospital in Indianapolis Sunday morning at 7:30 o'clock.  The infant daughter,  Donna Sue,  was born at 9:10 a.m. Saturday and Mrs. Platt was moved to the Indianapolis hospital a few hours after her birth.  The baby was the first born following birth of the New Years Baby Derby winner.
          MRS.  PLATT,  who had spent her entire life in and near Moscow, was 33 years of age.  She was born in Rush county on November 15, 1915, the daughter of  Charles and  Marie (Green) Holden,  who reside at Moscow.  Her marriage to Mr. Platt took place on September 27, 1939, and surviving with him, the parents and the infant girl are a con,  James Alvin Platt,  age five.  Also surviving are a brother,  Jesse Holden  of Moscow, and her maternal grandmother,  Mrs. Cora Green  of Columbus.
          Mrs. Platt was a member of the Moscow Christian church where funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock with Rev. W. F. McCoy officiating.  Burial, in charge of D. E. Carmony of St. Paul, will be made in the Moscow cemetery.  Friends may call at the late home one and one-half miles northwest of Moscow at any time.
