Services Sunday For
Local Woman, 74

          Mrs. Ethel M. Nicholson,  74, 633 S. Tompkins St., died at Major Hospital at 12:30 a.m. today.  She had been ill several weeks and was admitted to the hospital Monday.  Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Nicholson was an active member.  Rev. Arlice Duncan will officiate and burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Murphy Mortuary after 2:00 p.m. Saturday and at the church after 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
          Mrs. Nicholson was born in Shelby County April 27, 1893, the daughter of  McClellan and  Belle (Howery) Bennett.  She was married April 8, 1911, to  Samuel Forrest Nicholson  and he died Oct. 4, 1963.  She was a local resident most of her life and operated a catering service for several years.  She had moved to the Tompkins St. address from Shelby Township.
          Survivors are two daughters,  Mrs. Carl (Scharleen) Deiwert,  R.R. 1, Hope, and  Mrs. Jean (Mothaleen) Weinantz,  Flat Rock; six sons,  Bertes Nicholson,  Lima O.,  Harold Nicholson,  R.R. 1, Needham,  Paul and  John Nicholson,  Shelbyville, and  Carrol and  Charles Nicholson,  Rushville; 33 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one brother,  Harry Bennett,  R.R. 1, Edinburg.
