RITES  HELD  FOR  MRS.  M'CANCE

          Funeral services for  Mrs. Eliza McCance, 88, native of Shelby county, were held at her home in Rochester Tuesday afternoon.
          Mrs. Jennie Lowden,  Mrs. Nannie Sleeth, of near Fairland;  Mrs. Carl DeVore, of Shelbyville and and[sic]  Mrs. E. O. Carney, of Greensburg, attended the service.
          Mrs. McCance, who was a sister of the late  Mrs. James W. Buckingham, of Morristown, was born Sept. 4, 1855 in VanBuren township, the daughter of the  Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Louden.  Mrs. Buckingham's death occurred Nov. 24, 1943.
          On Feb. 17, 1876, Mrs. McCance was married to  David Oliver McCance, also of Shelby county.  They moved to Rochester in 1879.  He died in 1921.  She was a member of the Methodist church, the Woman's Relief Corps and Rebekah lodge of Rochester.
         She is survived by several several[sic] nieces and nephews.
