Maxine G. Lightner, 88, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002.
Born Aug. 1, 1913, in Rush County, d/o Edward R. and Roxie (Jones) Gahimer.
Married Charles E. Lightner on June 9, 1934; he preceded her in death on May 16, 1979.
Survivors include three brothers, William R. “Bob” Gahimer of Shelbyville,
Norman K. Gahimer of Franklin and Allen “Ray” Gahimer of Manilla; and two sisters,
Charlene John of Shelbyville and Helen Louise Rice of Manilla.
Preceded in death by one infant daughter, Linda Marie Lightner, and two brothers,
Richard R. Gahimer and Byron E. Gahimer.
Homemaker.
Graduated in 1932 from Shelbyville High School and in 1933 from Indiana Business College.
Member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Services: Zion United Church of Christ, 7025 E. 100N, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Lundgren officiating.
Burial: Zion United Church Cemetery in Shelby County.
