MOTHER  DIES

Mrs. Josephine  Lawver
Rites  at  Edinburg

          Mrs. Josephine Lawver,  89, died at the home of a daughter Mrs. Norman Palmer,  477 W. Hendricks St. this morning at 3:00 o'clock.  She had been in ill health for several years and seriously ill for the past week.
          She was born April 8, 1860, a daughter of  Hess and  Julia (Meeks) Lawver,  and had made her home in Edinburg until she came to live at the Palmer residence several years ago.  Her husband,  Albert Lawver,   died many years ago.
          Survivors include, with Mrs. Palmer, five other daughters  Mrs. Sarah King,  of Davenport, Iowa;  Mrs. Mary McAllister,  and  Mrs. Annabelle Phillips,  Edinburg;  Mrs. Myrtle Neligh  and  Mrs. John Gikes  of Columbus, besides several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Two sons preceded their mother in death.
          Funeral arrangements have not been completed but friends may call at the Gosney Funeral Home at Edinburg after 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.  Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery at Edinburg.
