Former Windfall Resident, Mrs. Joseph
Kirtley, Expires Sunday

Windfall, Ind. Nov. 4---Word was received here Sunday of the death of Mrs. Phoebe
Kirtley, age 70, wife of Joseph Kirtley, former resident of this community, which occurred
Sunday morning at 2 o'clock at the family home at Anderson. She had been ill a short time of diabetes.
Surviving with the husband are a
daughter, Mrs. Wayne Newby of Anderson,
two sisters, Mrs. Mary Gillam of Elwood and Mrs. Jennie Shatterly
of Curtisville, and two brothers, Enoch and Thomas
Hobbs, both of Shelbyville. The deceased was a daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hobbs and resided for many years in the vicinity north of
Windfall. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock the Nazarene church at Elwood and burial
will be made in the cemetery there.
