MRS. MINNIE  IMEL  DIES  AT  FAIRLAND

Death Of Well Known Woman Follows Year's Illness

HOLD  FUNERAL  THURSDAY

          Mrs. Minnie T. Imel, 52 years old, a well known resident of Fairland died at 6 o'clock this morning from a complication of diseases with which she has suffered for nearly a year.
          She was born in Brandywine township February 18, 1874, the daughter of  Anthony and Malissa Fraker.  She was married on March 15, 1898 to Frank L. Imel, by whom she is survived.  She is also survived by one daughter, Mary Marjorie at home.  A brother, Clarence Fraker of Fairland, and a sister, Mrs. Florence Banks of Fortville are living.
          She has been a member of the Fairland Baptist Church for many years and has been a faithful and devoted church worker since her girlhood.
         Funeral services will be held at the Fairland Baptist Church at three o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Emri Sites officiating assisted by the Rev. I.C. Overman.  Friends may call at the home at any time.  Burial will be in the Fairland cemetery with C.F. Fix and Son, funeral directors in charge.

Funeral Services For Aged Man Were Held Today
-------
          The funeral of  Peter Imel was held this morning at the family home in Sugar Creek township, but death taking place Saturday afternoon.  The burial was made at *Second Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Imel would have been 80 years old at his next birthday.  Mr. and Mrs. Imel celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last January.  His son Paul is now in France with the American army.  Mr. Frank Imel, of  Fairland is a son.  Six sons and two daughters, all but those named, living outside of Shelby county.  Mr. Imel was a member of the Fairland Baptist church where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.A. Lavis.

Filed for Probate in Circuit Court Thursday

          The will of the late Peter Imel was probated Thursday in the Shelby circuit court.  The estate left by Mr. Imel is valued at $10,000.  All of the personal property is left to the widow, Mrs. Caroline Imel.  A life interest in the farm of 60 acres is given Mrs. Imel.  At her death the farm will go to the children.  The widow is named as the executrix of the estate.  Mr. Imel owned personal property valued at $1,800 and his real estate is appraised at $9,000.
