FUNERAL SERVICE ON FRIDAY
----------
Samuel L. Hodges, a former resident of near Geneva, died
Wednesday at the home of his son, William, at Marion, Indiana. The
deceased was about seventy-five years of age and died very suddenly. He was a
native of North Carolina and came to the Geneva community about fifty years ago,
until recently when he had made his home with his son where he passed away.
Besides the son already mentioned, he leaves one daughter, Mrs.
Laura Zell, of this city to mourn his loss.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at eleven o’clock at
the Pleasant Grove Baptist church, south east of Geneva. Interment will be made
in the church cemetery.
