          J. Elizabeth Hennis,  83, R.R.1, Fairland, died at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, where she had been a patient since Friday.  Mrs. Hennis, a housewife, had been a lifelong Shelby County resident.  A daughter of  Thomas and  Eda Mae (Weaver) Ensminger,  she was born May 9, 1900, in Shelby county.  She was married February 20, 1920, to  Bryan Hennis,  who died April 1971.
          Surviving are sons,  Richard Hennis,  Albequerque, New Mexico, and  Gerald Hennis,  Fairland; daughters,  Jo Ellen Gwinnup,  West Palm Beach, Florida, and  Jewell Wiggins,  R.R.1, Fairland; five granchildren; five great-grandchildren and sisters,  Grace Braden,  Indianapolis, and  Audrey Livingston,  Riverside, California.  Two brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
