Ruth E. Harker, 87, Flat Rock died Saturday, May 8, 2010, Major Hospital.
Born Dec. 22, 1922, Hope, to  Glenn and  Gayle (Foutch) Worrell.
Married  John E. Harker  on Sept. 13, 1941; he survives.
Other survivors:  children,  Harry E. Harker (wife, Darlene),  Dr. John D. Harker (wife, Barbara)  and  Linda L. Finke (husband, Ted), all of Hope,  Phillip E. Harker (wife, Sharron) of Flat Rock,  Joe W. Harker (wife, Debbie) of Waldron and  Brenda S. Embry  of Gilbert, Ariz.; brother,  Robert Worrell  of Knoxville, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her parents; a son,  Dennis A. Harker; sisters,  Mildred McNeely  and  Marjorie Simmons; and brothers,  Kenneth Worrell,  Don Worrell  and  Glen Worrell Jr.
Homemaker.
Member of Hope Moravian Church, Moravian Ladies Society, Moravian Kola Class, Mission Society, Norristown Order of Eastern Star, Lucky 15 Home Economics Club and a 4-H leader of Noble Merry Sewing Club for more than 25 years.
Loved spending time with family, gardening, cooking, reading and playing the piano and organ.  Avid seamstress and collector of rocks and coins.  Took painting classes.
Norman Funeral Home, 604 Main St. Hope;  Hope Moravian Church, 202 Main St. in Hope.
Burial:  Hope Moravian Cemetery in Hope.
