Hazel F. Hardwick, 87, died today, Fountaintown.
Born Jul. 20, 1894, Rush Co, IN, d/o  Fred  and  Samantha Scull Meal.
Married  Lewis Vernon Hardwick;  he died Feb. 27, 1958.
Former Waldron resident for 22 years.
Survivors:  son, Carl M. Hardwick, Fountaintown, IN;  daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Virginia) Johnson, Carthage;  six grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by an infant son, seven brothers and one sister.
Carmony Funeral Home.
Burial:  Forest Hill Cemetery.

Rites  for  County  Man  Will  Be  Held  Monday

Lewis Vernon Hardwick, 59, died suddenly Thursday at home in Waldron.
Born Nov. 29, 1898, Rush Co, s/o  Joseph  and  Mary Ann Hasty Hardwick.
Married  Hazel Meal  Feb. 14, 1921.
Survivors:  wife;  son, Carl Meal Hardwick, New Palestine;  daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Virginia) Johnson, Carthage; four grandsons;  one niece and one nephew.
Preceded in death by a brother, George, and infant son (1926).
Member of the Waldron Methodist Church.
Lifelong farmer.
