Undertaker James Morrison
went up to the Gaines neighborhood this morning to assist in the burying of Mrs. Halstead, the mother of
Oscar Gatewood, Mrs. Washington Paine and Mrs.
Fisher. The funeral took place this morning at the Gaines cemetery.

The remains of Mary Halstead, who died Saturday night, aged seventy years, were interred at Gaines cemetery on Monday.
Funeral director James Morrison. Pall bearers, Thomas Cotton, William Walker,
Andrew Jones, Samuel Kaster, Melvin Walker and Samuel
Ethel.
