Aged Father of James Gotcher, this City, Succumbs

          Word was received Sunday by James Gotcher, 225 North Pike street this city, of the death of his father, John V. Gotcher, ninety years old, at his home in Murphsboro, Ill., Saturday evening.
          He leaves a widow, four sons and four daughters, twenty-three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.  The son whose home is in this city left for Murphysboro soon after receiving the news of his father's death.

          Mr. Crusoe Hawkins,  an aged and respected citizen of Union township, died at his home and was buried Saturday morning, February 23, at the Bennett grave yard.  Mr. Hawkins leaves a son and daughter to mourn the loss of a father.
