Bernadean Gomez

          Bernadean C. Gomez  was born in Atlanta, Neb., to  Carl H. and  Letha (Frost) Winter.  She was raised around Elm Creek, Neb., and graduated from high school. In 1944, she went to Omaha where she graduated from nursing school and later met  Frank Gomez.  They were married on July 28, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa.
          Mrs. Gomez worked in Omaha for 23 years before moving to Greeley with her family on Christmas Eve 1967.  She worked by taking care of her grandchildren and doing alterations for her family's dry cleaning company.  They owned and operated Campus One Hour Cleaners on 16th Street.
          Mrs. Gomez and her husband sold the business in April 1996.  During their retirement they took vacations and did a little sightseeing.
          Mrs. Gomez loved her family and friends and had devoted her life to taking care of them.
          She died Saturday at her home.
          Survivors:  Her husband,  Frank Gomez  of Greeley; two daughters,  Jennifer Cross  and husband  Dick of Carr and  Victoria Mitchell  of Evans; a son,  Frank Gomez Jr.  of Greeley; a brother,  Kenneth Winter  and wife  Marilyn  of Binger, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandsons.
          Preceded in death by:  A daughter, Barbara June Ensminger, who died in 1998; and a sister, Leota Winter, who died as a child.
          Services:  10 a.m. Thursday at Waypoints Faith Community, 719 21st St., Greeley.
          Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley, Colorodo.
          Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. today for family and close friends at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 28th St.
