Victor Elkins, 78, of Rushville, former Shelbyville resident, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at Rush Memorial Hospital.
Born July 20, 1923, in Shelby County, s/o  Clarence V. Elkins  and  Sadie (Coulter) Elkins Homsher.
Survivors include two daughters,  Vicki Elkins  of Tacoma, Wash., and  Tina Elkins  of Knoxville, Tenn.; six sisters,  Helen Smith,  Margaret Thrall, both of Greenwood,  Mrs. John (Carolyn) Bogue and  Judy Alexander, both of Shelbyville,  Geneva Curry  of Franklin and  Betty Mason  of New Port Richey, Fla.; and one brother, Virgil Elkins  of Mount Julliet, Tenn.
Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Superintendent for the former Haggeman Shelby Mirrow-Glass Co. and later employed at Schaad-Shubert Lumber Co., in Knoxville, retiring in 1985.
Moved to Rushville eight years ago from Knoxville, Tenn., and lived in Shelbyville before that.
Member of Washington Pike United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
Served as a corporal with the U.S. Army during World War II.
