Died.
------------
Ruth Ann Ebert  (nee  Belvill),  was born in Shelby county, Indiana, June 20th, 1852, and died July 27th, 1896.  In the year 1869 she came with her parents to Holt county, where she was married to  Martin L. Ebert,  July 20th, 1873.  Since then they have lived in this county with the exception of a few years residence in Nebraska.  Last winter during Rev. A. E. Flickinger's revival meetings, she with her husband and six oldest children, joined the church.  She has been a severe sufferer for some years, which ended in her death.  She was a kind, patient wife and mother.  The last few days her sufferings were intense, but patient with occasional outbursts of praise to God which cheered the end of her life, and was a means of great comfort to the weeping family and friends.
Shortly before she died she called all the family together and told them she was going home, requesting all to be good and meet her in heaven.
Her age was 44 years 1 month and 7 days.  She was the mother of 8 children and 3 step children.  Funeral services were conducted by the writer from James 4:14.-- "For what is your life,"  The number who attended the funeral was an indication of the esteem in which she was held by her neighbors.  The small children have a kind father, brothers and sisters to care for them.  She was buried in the Nickell's Grove church cemetery Tuesday afternoon at about 5 o'clock.
