SARAH  C. DINE  PASSES  AWAY
Woman, 81, Dies at Fairland;
Funeral to Be Held Saturday

          Mrs. Sarah C. Dine, 81 years old, widow of the late  Simon P. Dine, died at her home in Fairland at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.  She was injured in a fall December 6, and had never recovered.
          Mrs. Dine was born in Liberty township November 22, 1854 and was the daughter of  Enos and Elizabeth Sills.  She had been a resident of Shelby county for many years and had lived in Fairland for the past eight years.  Her parents were pioneers of this county.
          In 1881 the deceased was married to  Ed Stanford, who died August 9, 1888.  Two children were born,  Ed Stanford  of Franklin and  Bertha,  who died in 1886. Later she married  Simon P. Dine, who preceded her in death August 19, 1925.  They had two children.  Mrs. N. J. Morgan  of Fairland and  Miss Florence Dine, who preceded her in death.  Her brother, Albert Sills, died several days ago.
          Other survivors are five grandchildren, one brother,  Joseph Sills  of Manilla; one sister,  Mrs. Ellen Coffey  of New Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.  She was a member of the Church of the First Born at Peoga, Indiana.
          Funeral services will be held at the Fairland M.E. church at 2 p.m. Saturday.  The Rev. Charles R. Query, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in the Fairland cemetery in charge of C. F. Fix & Son, funeral directors.  Friends may call at the late home in Fairland anytime after 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
