The body of  Hiram B. Crute,  who was for more than forty-years a resident of the Freeport community, north of this city, was laid to rest in Hanover cemetery near Morristown Sunday.  After leaving Shelby county Mr. Crute was a resident of Connersville for a time, but for the past few years he had been at the Soldiers' home at Marion, and his death occurred there last Friday morning.  He was 89 years old and had been seriously ill for the last few weeks.  He is survived by one daughter and five sons, among whom is  A. M. Crute,  of Connersville.  Mr. Crhute was a devout Presbyterian and lived a consistent Christian life.  About five years ago he went to the Soldiers' Home, to which he was fully entitled, having served his country three years with the 120th Ohio infantry.
