Ruby M. Clevenger, 87, of Rushville died Sunday, May 19, 2002, Rushville.
Born July 18, 1914, in Decatur County, d/o  Earnest and Jennie (Evans) Linville.
Married  James Earl Clevenger  on Feb. 1, 1947, and he survives.
Other survivors:  two sons, John O. Moore  of New Mexico and  David Clevenger  of Rushville; one daughter, Mrs. Dester (Colleen) Wesley  of Rushville; two daughters-in-law, Brigitte Moore  of New Mexico and  Dottie Clevenger  of Rushville; one brother, Robert E. Linville  of Rushville; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by four sisters,  Opal Moore,  Rita Powell,  Pearl J. Craven,  and  Faye J. Kaiser, and one grandson, Steven Wesley.
Homemaker.
Past matron of Martha Poe Order of the Eastern Star.
Member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rushville.
Todd Funeral Home, 805 N. Main St. in Rushville with the Rev. Charles Aigner officiating.
Burial:  East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.

Mrs. Omar Clevenger, 81, longtime Shelbyville resident, failing health for 10 years, died at 6 p.m. Friday at the Johnson Health Care Center, Franklin. 
Widow of  Gladstone (Jack) Clevenger, a Public Service Indiana employee who died June 26, 1971.
Born December 2, 1898 in Scottsburg, to  Newton and Dora (Heutman) Mitchell.
Married Mr. Clevenger on May 7, 1931.
For years lived in Rushville before moving to Shelbyville in 1949.
Worked for many years at the old Shelby Manufacturing Company, a forerunner of the current Ekanjay Corp. 
Member of the Scottsburg Baptist Church.
Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Judith Kay Rose of Crawfordsville; a son by a previous marriage, Omer Newcom of Coldwater, Ohio, nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.  Sister and a daughter preceded in death.
Ewing Mortuary; burial will follow at the East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.

MR. CLEVENGER
DIES  IN  HOSPITAL

Gladstone (Jack) Clevenger, 71, 725 First Street, died Saturday at 4:10 p.m. at Major Hospital, fell from a ladder at his home.
Ewing Mortuary,  The Rev. Harold Garoutte will officiate.
Burial:  East Hill cemetery at Rushville.
Lineman for the Southeastern Power Co. (Public Service Indiana) for over 40 years; retired in 1965.
Spent his early life in Rushville; resided in Shelbyville since 1949.
Born Rushville May 7, 1900, to  Joseph and Katherine (Shepler) Clevenger.
May 7, 1931, married  Omar Mitchell  and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter,  Mrs. Judith K. Fassold, Shelbyville; a stepson, Omer Newcom, Coldwater, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Shin, Indianapolis, Mrs. Catherine Theobald, Rushville, and  Mrs. Frances Nicholl, Woodville, Washington, and two brothers, Charles A. Clevenger, Santa Cruz, California, and  Harvey Clevenger, Indianapolis.
