RITES  SET  FOR
WARREN  RESIDENT

          WARREN -- Funeral services for  Mrs. Josephine Octavia Burton,  76, former Huntington County resident who died Monday at the home of a daughter-in-law,  Mrs. Claude Burton,  Asheville, N. C., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist Church here with the Rev. Thurman Mott in charge.  Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
          Born in Asheville, Mrs. Burton Had risided in Huntington for 40 years.  She returned to Asheville 14 years ago, and her husband  Thomas,  died there in 1948.  She had been in ill health for two weeks.  Only survivors are two grandchildren.  The body is en route here and will arrive in Marion at 12:50 p.m. today, after which it will be taken to the Warren funeral home.

Mrs. Cora  M.  Burton
Passes  Away

          Cora M.,  wife of  Robert Burton,  of St. Paul, died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday of puerperal fever.  At death deceased was aged twenty-eight years.  She leaves a husband, against whom she had divorce proceedings in the local courts, Wray & Campbell being her attorneys.  She also leaves two children.  Mrs. Burton lost her mother by death about two weeks ago.  Deceased separated from her husband in March.  Funeral services will be held at the home at 10 o"clock Thursday morning.  Interment in St. Omer cemetery.  D. B. Wilson & Son in charge.

          William Burton died at his residence in Ray’s Crossing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 1896, age sixty-six years.  The remains will be buried Friday, September 18. Services at the C.U. church in Cynthianna at two p.m. the Rev. G. W. Hagans officiating . Interment in the Cynthianna cemetery.  Cortege will leave the house at one p.m. D. B. Wilson & Son funeral directors.
