Ralph D. Boyd,  66, of Columbus died at 11:25 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2001, at his home.  He worked for 23 years at Cummins Engine Co., retiring in 1988.  He was a member of the Methodist faith and was a six-year veteran of the Army.
          The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope.  Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.  Burial and military graveside rites will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
          Mr. Boyd was born in Clifford June 11, 1934, the son of the late  Edgar and  Ethel Lee Linke Boyd.  He married  Florence Wood  March 21, 1965.  She survives.  Other survivors include a son,  Daniel Boyd  of Columbus; sisters,  Mable DiMola  of Pennsylvania and  Mildred Kemp  of Rushville; and a brother,  Richard Boyd  of Columbus.  He was preceded in death by a brother,  James Boyd,  and sisters,  Glada Bula  and  Nancy Carmichael.

          Mrs. Mary Boyd, a former resident of this city, living on South Tompkins street, died suddenly in Indianapolis Monday.  She was there on a visit.  She was about sixty years of age, a widow and resided in Fairland where she was buried Wednesday.
