DEATH FOLLOWS LONG ILLNESS

Elmer E. Barton, age 81, Waldron, died at
the W. S. Major hospital at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday after a year's illness of a complication of diseases. His condition
had been serious for the past week.
Mr. Barton had resided in the Waldron community all
his life and was a thresherman in the county for 34 years.
He was born in Waldron on August 22, 1861, the son
of Frank and Mary M. (Newton) Barton. His closest relative is a nephew, Wilbur Berauer,
of Waldron, at whose home funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. M. R. Kerr officiating.
Burial will be made in the VanPelt cemetery in charge
of D. E. Carmony, of St. Paul. Friends may call at the Carmony funeral home until 5:00 p.m. today and after that
at the Berauer home. Several cousins residing in the county survive.

SHELBYVILLE -- Mrs.
Milleson Barton, 64, wife of Richard Barton, is dead in Noble
Township. Her husband and two sons survive her.
