ADDED
------------
There were 106,914 books loaned
by the Carnegie Public Library here the past year, it is revealed in
the annual report of the librarian, Miss Bertha Bowlby,
announced today. The library is probably the only concern
that has noted a steadily[sic] increase in business during the
depression, it is pointed out.
Five hundred and thrity-three books have been added to the local
library which contains 19,880 volumes. During the past twelve
months there were 49,790 persons reading boks from the library, Miss
Bowlby's report showed.
The
amount of fines collected totalled $263.55 for the one-year period
and $387.65 were realized from the rental fiction.
