REMEMBER  WHEN?
(25 Years Ago This Week in Shelby County)
          Two Morristown storefronts were wrecked and two persons injured by flying glass when the safety valve in a peanut roaster failed and the boiler exploded . . . "The Covered Wagon" film was exhibited for five days to record crowds . . . An extremely early fronst worried farmers . . . Efforts to start SHS football failed . . . Brimmed bonnets and plaid knitted bathing suits were feminine styles . . . Miss Betty Hildum was appointed the new YWCA secretary . . . Reflooring of the Walkerville bridge was begun.
