Just found your new site and was impressed with the scope of
information you will be offering in the future. For those of us across
the country it will be of help to be able to find information on where to
look and what is available once we do manage to visit your county.
Marriage records for the years after 1850 will be a major help. Keep up
the good work!

Just
wanted to let you know your Shelby Co. Web page looks to be a good start.
I have been researching my ancestry for about 9-10 years, slightly before
the Internet. With the creation of these web pages and the efforts of
people like you more, and more people will become interested in their
ancestry. Keep up the good work.

I wrote
Phyllis requesting a 1846 marriage record. She remembered the names I
submitted from past correspondence. She then looked up those records,
xeroxed them, and sent them. The records 'Phyllis remembered' directly
linked my family from the 1800's to the 1600's. I can't put into words
my appreciation to her personality and the Shelby County organizations for
providing this information for me. I plan on donating a copy of my
Genealogy files regarding Shelby County. I hope everyone who uses this
wonderful website and it's information will show their appreciation by
donating their files. Thanks so much Phyllis! Patti Brown

They were the parents of Floyd, Jr., who died when he was around 3, and
