This Indenture Witnesseth That  John W. Ballard  and  Rachel Ballard  his wife, of Shelby County in the State of Indiana, Convey and Warrant to  Sarah Crail  of Shelby County in the State of Indiana, for the sum of five hundred dollars, the following Real Estate in Shelby county in the State of Indiana, towit:

            All that part of Lot No. three (3) on Washington Street, in the Town of Shelbyville in said County known on the original plat of said town, as is included in the following boundaries towit;

            Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot and running thence South Six (6) rods, thence West three (3) rods, thence North six (6) rods, and thence East three (3) rods, to the place of beginning.

            In Witness whereof, the said John W. Ballard and Rachel Ballard his wife, have hereunto set their hand and seals this 26^th day of April 1856.
