Brison  Blackburn  Armstrong


          B. B. Armstrong, Jr. was b. in Washington Twp., Shelby Co., IN on Dec. 19, 1856.  Father was B. B. Armstrong, Sr, b. Jan, 10, 1810 near Chilicothe, Ross Co, OH; d. Jan. 1893; mrd  Nancy Cox  b Feb. 24, 1818 in Ross Co., OH, d. Mar. 1897.  The Sr. Armstrong, on arrival in Shelby Co., entered 80 acres in section 30 of Washington Twp.  Cleared and cultivated this land and remained there the rest of his life.  B. B., Sr. and Nancy had 8 children, 3 still living:  our subject, B. B., Jr;  Thomas, a farmer in Bartholomew Co., IN; and  Rachel H., now the wife of  George Henry  of Howard Co, IN.  B. B. Armstrong, Jr. mrd  Minnie Hill, daughter of  John  and  Elizabeth (Walker) Hill.  They are the parents of 4 children:  1) Walter, b. Feb. 14, 1878; mrd. Amanda Yanzer;  they live at Norristown, Shelby Co, IN;  2) Warren, b. Apr. 6, 1879, lives at Acton;  3) Wallace, b. Feb. 14, 1881; mrd and lives at in Washington Twp;  4) Edward, b. Jan. 5, 1884, single and living with parents.  Own a farm of 68 acres which is devoted to both grain and stock.  Members of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Lewis Creek.
Summarized  by Phyllis Miller Fleming from information on the Armstrong Bulletin Board.  A FGS made in 1989 by Alice R. Money, of Shelbyville, IN, identifies "B. B. Armstrong" as  Brison Blackburn Armstrong.  Alice is the granddaughter of   Warren Armstrong  who married  Alice May Henderson (1880-1925).  Their son George Henderson Armstrong (1900-1923) is Alice's father.
